At a recent Boy Scout meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the boys were introduced to this wonderful fruit. None of them knew what was inside—or that this was even edible. They were awed by its shape, feel, and ruby red color. Some of the imaginative scouts wondered if it were a creature from the ocean floor.
The head scout who had brought the fruit asked the boys if they trusted their fellow scouts. All the kids replied affirmatively. The head scout asked them if they trusted him, as well. Again, yes. He wanted to know who would be the first one to eat one of these weird “creatures” after he did. A few brave kids volunteered. The head scout then ate his rambutan. The volunteers then followed, raising their eyebrows and smiling as the fruit’s vitamin-filled, sweet, juicy flavor swept over their tongues. They loved it!
It’s a taste only Lafinita’s fresh rambutans can deliver.
From this experience, Lafinita decided to create a kid-friendly character that would encompass what the rambutan is all about. Having trouble representing what the fruit had to offer children in only one character, the company created two: First was Rambuboy. With his cool haircut and superhero attitude, he represents how cool it is to enjoy rambutans. Next came Rambutin, representing the sweet personality of many curious rambutan-loving kids around the world.
Take advantage of our two characters to introduce rambutans to your children. They will love the fruit, and they will eat it for many, many years to come!
